As a challenge to myself, I wanted to create a mental map commemorating the stoical presence of this iconic building and the space around it.

I've walked past The Flatiron Building a thousand times and like many, I always look up at the wedge shape cutting through the visual space. This time I took a photo that helped me understand that the map was not just at street level, but in the subconscious awareness of the urban space.

The 2D poster works visually to convey the relationship between the physical space, the bustle of the city, and the symbolic passing of time.
