The American University Symphony Orchestra commissioned this poster for their opening season concert for the fall of 2014.
Approach
The final concert program showcased a cello piece, but the intent was to avoid cliche visuals of musical instruments. By cutting a fallen leave to give it some features of a string instrument, a reference to both a musical performance and to the season was simply conveyed.
