2015 marked the one hundred year anniversary of the world famous Coca-Cola glass bottle. Designers and illustrators around the world reimagined and celebrated Coke’s iconic bottle and iconography using only three colors: Coke Red, black and white. More than 130 artists from 15 countries responded with 250-plus pieces for this #MashupCoke global project.
The core Coca-Cola design principles of Power of Red, Bold Simplicity, Familiar Yet Surprising, and Authenticity come to life in these poster designs to demonstrate how one of the world's oldest design icons can still be as fresh and engaging as ever.
The final designs were featured in a global campaign commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Coke bottle across approx 50 country markets. The individual works also appeared in a global exhibition commemorating the bottle design, a limited-edition book produced by Assouline, Licensing Partnerships, and featured on Coca-Cola social channels.
