Editorial portrait shoot about vaping and a new generation of young smokers.
Approach
After years of declining adoption of smoking among youth, vaping has introduced a new generation to tobacco. I wanted to make a picture for this story that was both a portrait and a conceptual image.
Results
The idea of creating an image that is both a portrait and anonymous was intriguing to me here I think the image is successful as a portrait because we have hints at who the subject is but they are general enough that the image is also universal.
