This is a package redesign and rebrand of a lip scrub set that I found at a discount store. Cheap products tend to have excessive packaging that is not well designed. My goal in this redesign was to create a more efficient way to package the product that is also eco-friendly and reduces the amount of materials involved.

The original package was a bulky paperboard box that contained a plastic tray in which the tubs of lip scrub sat in. I decided to get rid of the plastic tray and focus on finding away to reduce the material used for the box.

The box that I created only has two sides and a top and bottom. The tubs of lip scrub are held in the box by a ribbon that wraps around the exterior. The resulting box does the job by reducing the size and eliminating the use of plastic. The brand I created features organic shapes and bubbly typography to emphasize the "smooth" concept of the brand.
