The final assignment in publication design was to create a piece that reflected my style as a designer, while managing typography, images, and content over multiple spreads. I had to develop a market and concept the book of my choice. So, being a foodie from the heart, it was only natural to create a college cookbook with my own illustrations and copywriting.

It is no secret that college students are not only poor, we are lazy. I will admit, my cooking skills are lacking but I have an incredible skill of ordering take out... This is where "WTF" will come in handy. I, now and rather unfortunately, have no excuse not to cook. This witty cookbook adds a comedic and millennial touch with the copy writing and contrasting color palette.

My professor has told me time and time again to lean into my strengths: copywriting and illustrations. So for my final piece in publication design, I decided to do just that. I am really proud of this piece because it has stretched me as a designer and forced me to work within boundaries of layout all while needing to keep the audience engaged.
