Lex 2021 is the fourth edition of a magazine published yearly by the Drexel University Kline School of Law. In 2018, when we started to design the magazine we set out to promote them as a ground-breaking school to law professors, students, and lawyers. We quote Dean Daniel M. Filler: “We’re a young school, with few traditions to uphold. As I hope you’ll see, we’re trying to do something a little different with this magazine. Rather than creating a new scholarly journal or a straight-ahead alumni magazine, we’ve created a publication that aims to engage over-lapping communities that are passionate about the law. Launching a new publication at a moment like this is an exercise in stubborn optimism. All around us, we see tectonic changes occurring at an unprecedented pace. As a law school, we want to stir up the pot and deliver some fresh ideas." The content and the magazine have continuously surprised with cutting-edge themes and design.

In the current issue we are tackling changes in the world as well as nostalgia. The cover is a door into the future and the past. Geometric shapes build spaces in the future and in the past representing building blocks as well as pixels. The magazine is looking at time and how law shapes our experiences and understanding of society.

Lex 2021 – The Magazine of Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law – was widely distributed and has continued to raise the profile of the school among law professors and professionals as well as prospective students. Dean Daniel M. Filler tells us that he receives constant compliments from other schools as well as law professionals. The magazine is perceived as unique, beautiful, and intelligent.
