We were asked to create a payoff poster to accompany and elaborate on the film's teaser art.
Approach
We aimed to stay with the symbolism of the butterfly from the teaser campaign and add Janelle Monáe's character to help push the tone and storyline further.
Results
We ended up with visceral art that pushed the horror elements by placing the a red and bloodied butterfly over Monáe's character's mouth, highlighting the silencing of her terror.
