This project involved designing a magazine for one of my second year design courses at portland community college. The overall goal was to create designs which were interesting and creative.

I utilized typography heavily in this project, challenging myself with both a very long headline and a shorter one. I know that I work best when challenged, so I chose articles which would force me to make tough decisions about my layout in order to keep it readable. Aside from typography, my second most important creative decision was the utilization of concept in my imagery, through image research and manipulation I was able to communicate the concept quite clearly.

My instructor was impressed with my work, and my classmates are the ones who recommended that I submit it to graphis.
