Create a visually interesting still life using the photography studio.
Approach
I enjoy taking risks, working with texture, and brainstorming whimsical environments. I covered the studio background in luminous dollar store wrapping paper and crinkled the edges, then placed the glittery gift bag, which I had previously received from a friend, in the center.
Results
My strategic manipulation of the wrapping paper properly frames the gift bag and directs the eye to its witty statement. The contrasting color, balanced lighting, and use of texture exhilarates the viewer and leave a long lasting impression. This image successfully conveys the dazzling, fabulous, and maximalist atmosphere I was aiming to achieve.
