The campaign was done in our advanced portfolio class. We chose to do Grammarly because of the opportunity to do a copy-driven campaign as well as something funny relating to the idea of bad grammar.
We took inspiration from simple copy-driven campaigns so there would be a focus on the lines. The lines came from incorrect uses of grammar that are commonly used. For example, you hear people say "literally" in conversation very often even though it's not good grammar.
This campaign was shown in SMU's Portfolio Night 2022 and received an award for "Best Copywriting." There were also many comments on the love for the blue background color and the humor of the lines.
