Initially created as part of the 2015 season catalogue, representing each of the Black Swan State Theatre Company’s five principle productions and one lab production, the design of each show is then adapted into individual promotional posters and as a series launching the year ahead.

The design for the previous year fused each of the lead characters with a vivid colour background. As a departure to this, the 2015 season deliberately desaturates the overall colour palette drawing attention to the simple, sophistication of the key props, and in turn redirects attention to the intensity of the key characters.
This minimalistic approach to the design is coupled with classic typography and embellishments elevating the sassy season of surprises into a contemporary representation and trademark style, which has become synonymous with the Black Swan State Theatre Company.

The posters supported the subscription catalogue as individual promotional posters and to also generate single ticket sales. The Black Swan State Theatre Company 2015 season was celebrated as being successful.
