Keeping in line with previous seasons’ campaigns, we wanted to use parody, genre, spoof or homage to present these wacky idiots in a completely new way to advertise season 14 of this popular show. The fan base gets as excited to see the advertising campaign as they do the season itself.
We combined It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia with outlandish wrestler personas that were made popular in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. Utilizing a photo realistic digital illustration technique, illustrator Christopher Kiklowicz painted a Wrestlemania-inspired Royal Rumble Battle with each character receiving their own unique costume, name and fighting pose. To the victor go the spoils!
The key art campaign was extremely well-received, and the show continued into its legendary 14th season.
