Poster to commemorate the exhibition of the Gene & Brian Sherman Contemporary Asian Art Collection. The exhibition consisted of three parts: the Go East survey exhibition; Jitish Kallat's Public Notice 2 installation; and Yang Zhichao's Chinese Bible installation.
Approach
The three exhibitions are represented within the central typographic. The typography features letterforms that have been reduced to pure perpendicular forms that combine with a vertical format to reference the nature of many asian scripts.
