Tour poster for J.D. McPherson's upcoming tour in support of his new album "Let The Good Times Roll". The Oklahoma rock 'n' roller J.D. McPherson's second album delivers 11 shocking songs that split the difference among Buddy Holly, early Rolling Stones, the Black Keys and Bo Diddley.
With McPherson's music known for a retro sound rooted in the rock and roll, rhythm and blues, and rockabilly music of the 1950s, we wanted to reflect this musical tone visually while reinterpreting the elements in an updated modern methodology, as he does with his music. We wanted the poster to echo the heritage that his music is inspired by, but with a strong effort to avoid having a final piece be too defined by a vintage style. The album that this tour is supporting features a bear on the cover, we took our inspiration from this, but also wanted to make the tour poster different from the album cover itself.
A six color limited edition silk screen, the recording artist was very excited by the final piece and will be offering them to fans on the upcoming tour.
