The project goal was to create visual identity for International Piano Competition "Banja Luka Biennale 2020" and poster design was one of the project tasks. The Biennale was already established as traditional manifestation and the organizer wanted to represent this attribute in his visual language.
The relations between tradiotional on the one hand and modern on the other are defined by serif and sans-serif typeface contrast. Main idea was to blur the border between high art and mass culture by presenting the piano as an advertising for canned drink ( Pop-Art reference). The design approach had a task to promote classical music to the level of everyday consumerism.
The client has a very positive oppinion about the project results. Also, visual identity is highly recognizable in the public.
