Assignment is to create a response to current National (USA) issues and respond to it using visual communication to bring attention to the general public.
Approach
In order to obtain a quick response from the viewer, simplicity is key. I hand-wrote g-uncontrol using crayons multiple times, and decided this one was the most natural looking. Scanned it in, cleaned it up, and paired it with sans-serif typography.
Results
People exposed to the poster immediately understood what was being communicated: gun control is needed in schools. It's something the kids and parents both agree with. Designs like this can spark the conversation of necessary regulations.
