Because of the unprecedented political scandal, reputation of shamanism in the Republic of Korea began to fall sharply and was also caused anger by those who study sincerely in the ethnological aspect or the professional shaman. Also for me, as an artist who used to work superstition as a main subject, this case clearly made me think about the direction of future’s work. Reflect on this present era, thus, It has come to think about what significance of the present's shamanism brings to the Republic of Korea. From this idea, I have created a charm-like poster which is about the requiem(진혼곡:鎭魂曲) for the Republic of Korea. In the Eastern Asia, people hang pictures on the walls like ‘Dharma painting’ to wish peace and fortune in their lives and for their families. I hope that this poster will serve as a trigger to reconfigure the position of the shamanism somewhere among the people who are angry with the miserable situation of our country itself and the shamanism.

For this poster, I borrowed a passage from the requiem, which is one of the traditional Korea’s shamanism song(무가:巫歌), and utilized it into the main graphic. In general, Oriental landscape composition is maintained to keep the tone of the Eastern vibe. In order to emphasize the descending structure, the typographic design of the requiem was expressed like it flows down.
