This UI project's objective was to design a comprehensive calendar application for a specific demographics' interests. Choosing first-year graphic design students as a demographic, I created a calendar application that introduces them to the design world.

Creating healthy habits--like scheduling projects and time managing-- is one of the hardest parts of being new to the design world. Critic* is here to help with that. After spending time researching first-year graphic design students, I started to see a pattern of disconnect between students and  professional designers. By using the "Today In Design" feature, Critic* allows its users to physically see their project timelines alongside those that are occurring professionally in the design world. This comparison breaks down the wall between student and professional work, allowing students to feel more confident in their progression onwards as a designer.

Through its functions of a profile quiz and setup, a calendar that organizes their personal projects alongside real world design events, and a collaborative feed that introduces students to the work of top designers, Critic* accomplishes its goal of connecting students to the design world around them.
