For this assignment, I was asked to conceptualize and photograph a still life in natural light.
Approach
Shot on Texas Christian University’s campus, this piece studies the interaction of shadows, architecture, and framing. In these images, the mirror became a portal to enclose part of an environment within, while the shadows served as leading lines directing towards the mirror.
Results
This piece was met with positivity from my professor and peers. As a whole, the composition is successful at showing the surrounding location from a different, unexpected perspective.
