In conjunction with the excitement created by the Discovery Channel’s famous Shark Week television series, the Florida Aquarium decided to host their very own Shark Week event. They wanted us to create a poster that would promote their Shark Week in very eye-catching way.
Instead of just showing a typical, traditional shark image, we did something a bit more compelling. We showed the image of a shattered television with a real shark (made out of water) splashing out. We stressed how much more exciting it would be to see all the dramatic action at the Florida Aquarium – live and in person.
This breakthrough poster (pun intended) was very well liked by the Florida Aquarium marketing team because they utilized the image in all forms of media, including print, OOH, and digital ads. It must have made a strong impression on consumers too, since attendance has dramatically increased during this special week.
