To develop a concept and design for an internal publication meant to showcase the artwork of senior students of VCD (Visual Communication Design) of SAIC

I wanted to represent the creativity and individualism of VCD students as well the interdisciplinary nature of SAIC. The title 'Together we are VCD' hints that the whole is more than the sum of its parts. So, by deconstructing letterforms and putting them together in novel ways a new more meaningful whole is created.
The monograms and ligatures were created algorithmically from custom code I developed in Processing. By using new technologies to assist design, I stress the exploratory and interdisciplinary nature of the school and its students.

The final design consists of a brochure and a set of cards, one for each student showcasing their work. The cards are indexed using a monogram for each student.
