This was a branding exercise to take the pinnacle achievement of FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Games, Elden ring, and make a logo that felt true to the fiction and fantasy of the world/game but also felt like an evolution from their games of the past 20 years. There was huge ambition behind this title and the goal was to make an "Entertainment Franchise Logo" and establish the beginning of brand, not simply just a Game Logo.
The Logo was all created in 3D and rooted in beautiful design and slightly customized letterforms to communicate the destruction and storyline-arc and journey of the player in the Game. The "E" & G" representing the outside World and the destruction represented starting with the G and making it's way inward.
The Elden Ring logo helped establish an own-able and iconic mark for the "Game of the Year", tons of accolades and huge financial success -- selling 15million units and most recognized icon in Gaming this year.
