As part of an ongoing effort to supply our many McDonald's markets with relevant social content for their Facebook and Twitter pages, we were tasked to create some engaging back to school ads for students across the country. After an incredibly warm reception, several of the restaurants decided to hang the ads inside their stores.
The ads are full of "subtle" reminders of how the Golden Arches may always be on the brain, even if you're sitting in class taking notes or listening to a lecture. In photographs shot by Mark Ross, a cup of pencils resembles a box of fries, a backpack recalls a Happy Meal, while a stack of books becomes the restaurant's beloved Bic Mac.
Since being uploaded to the respective social pages, the back to school ads have taken on a life of their own, being featured on a host of major advertising trade publications.
