As one of the top design school in the nation, University of Cincinnati’s School of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning asks alumni from today’s leading design companies to create a poster for its annual senior showcase, DAAPWORKS.
The poster series elevates the DAAP identity as an empty vessel, ready to take on an infinite array of visuals that represent the eclectic experience of each student’s unique journey as they begin to make their own mark on the professional world.
The work has won critical acclaim with Gold and Merit awards from Graphis Design Annual 2015 for the Poster Series and Logo respectively as well as the HOW International Design Awards 2014 Merit award. Additionally, faculty and students alike have embraced the poster series and used it to create a stunning showcase for their graduating class.
“It’s been a college tradition to invite prestigious firms (with DAAP graduates) to create our yearly identity: Pentagram, Apple, Nike, & Target have participated in the past.
This year Landor Associates designed, the most comprehensive identity to date.
This work has been embraced by our students, staff, faculty, and is admired by the public. International DAAP visitors love to receive the black-on-black t-shirts – now seen in NYC, England, France, India, China, and Africa.”– Dean Robert Probst College of Design, Art, Architectue and Planning, UC
