For this branding assignment, I was partnered with two interior design students at Texas Christian University who were working alongside CallisonRTKL, a design consultancy agency. These two students were assigned with the task of creating a business and designing the interiors for it, while I was brought on as a design consultant to brand the company.

Myself and the two interior design students worked together to name the cosmetics company that they chose to design for. Vous is French for 'you' and focuses on customized foundation made just for you—every skin type, skin color, and for both males and females. I wanted Vous to feel clean and sleek, while maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere where everyone can feel beautiful.

By combining a Sans Serif and a Didone Serif typeface, I was able to relay the warm and welcoming atmosphere in the logo by making it simplistic and clean. The union of these two allowed for the logo to feel feminine since it’s for a makeup brand, without constricting it to only female clients. I received second place for my work in a juried competition through CallisonRTKL.
