Our assignment was to design a chair based on a personal experience and an art movement.
My Chair with my personal experience and Expressionism: For most a low period is seen as a time of weakness. Although, this chairs low is what brings it height. This chair allows you to be grounded with the low valley and supported by the high peak. Without one balancing out the other there would not be stability. While sitting in this chair you feel the strength of the ups and downs throughout life and understand without the equal parts there could not be wholeness.
My chair is built in silver, which is incredibly valuable, just like ones life. Is reflective so you see a little of yourself when you look into it. And with silver you continuously have to polish it in order for it to stay beautiful, just as you continuously have to work on yourself.
