Client was in need for a logo banner for a magazine. The chosen subject of the magazine was "sailing, sailboats, and related gear and topics". The logo mark needs to be bold enough to compete with any other magazines that may be placed nearby.

A clear, bold, logo mark was needed to compete with any adjacent magazine banners. To achieve this (and to bring the subject matter of the magazine into the artwork) buoyant, round shapes are connected to form the word "buoy", while the white space beneath the letters forms a wave for the letters to float upon.

The client was pleased with this result, noting that the logo mark has a subtle reference to the subject matter while not effecting readability.
