Assignment
For season 2 of Narcos Mexico, the strategy was to take advantage of the beautiful complexity that embodies the storyline and create a rich piece of art that included the characters, icons, and "easter eggs" from the series.
Approach
We collaborated with Mexican fine artist Ernesto Muñiz and combined all of these elements into an unconventional and authentic poster. The cast and elements were shot in Mexico City, and the final art was assembled by hand with paper and glue by the artist.
Results
The art's complexity was the cause of much discussion and intrigue, with fans interpreting the symbols and hidden meanings in the art. Many of the cast members reached out to the artist to create different versions of the key art for their own personal collection.
