Applying typographic theories and principles, students develop a design system for a publication of their choice. The design system is visualized into a prototype of a final issue of the publication.
Approach
This publication explores how to visually reflect the impact and dynamic qualities of boxing through it's typographic structure. As you move through the publication it gives aim to visualize the jab, cross, hook, and uppercut moves of boxing. The black and white image language again reinforces the crude nature of boxing.
Results
This publication was praised for having a great balance of experimentation yet clear legibility.
