Assignment
The creative direction was to explore the season’s themes of Chip attempting to become more professional and also the bullet train coming to Bakersfield.
Approach
We leaned into the client’s style inspiration of vintage postcards and went with a painterly retro-future inspired illustration technique and a playfully warped title.
Results
The key art feels very rooted in the show’s Bakersfield setting and the suit alludes to Chip’s newfound professionalism while still retaining elements of his clown essence.
