Bob’s Your Uncle Design has a playful, almost subversive name. That’s intentional: this interior design company is all about the work. In the identity, Toolbox was tasked to balance that playfulness with BYU’s serious credibility and focus.
The new identity was hinged on a bold, confident maturity. Solid serif typefaces stacked in structured blocks speak to both architectural principles and a long tradition of timeless design executions. Applied to stationery, other printed pieces, and the website, this straightforward metropolitan feel leaves a bold stamp of authority – an effective counterpoint to the irreverent name itself, and a testimony to BYU’s good taste and impressive portfolio.
The client has reported glowing reviews from clients and peers about the rebrand, and is confident that it will help signal a new phase in BYU’s history as a design firm.
