To design a brand identity for Yourdash, a new online marketplace for life celebration services.
Forget the somber tone of the traditional funeral services, Yourdash is all about celebrating the lives of your loved ones. These end-of-life services are highly customizable to a loved one’s life interests and are built around celebrating the entirety of the lives.
We established early on that the two core pillars of the Yourdash’s brand essence are celebration of life and individuality. This is where we focused our energy in developing their visual identity.
The symbol conveys a person with their arms up in a celebration stance joined to a circle representative of the life-timeline of an individual from beginning to end. Containing the icon in a circle also helps in visually communicating a sense of individuality. The arms & body of the celebrant form the shape of a Y symbolizing Yourdash helping provide this individual’s life celebration.
