In this project I explored the concept of "plastic". Is plastic just plastic or can it be something more. I came to the conclusion that we encounter plastic every day, either when we throw it away or when we use it. Either way, it's bad for us and bad for the environment. My concept focused on the reuse of plastic waste. What new things can we create, that do not harm our environment? We can sew ourselves a new coat!

I approached the project by first looking for plastic waste materials. I wanted to sew a transparent long coat that would have a 2024 calendar on it. Transparency was an important concept in the project, because of the visibility of the other months (future and past). The coat is made of a used PVC material and the calendar parts are stickers, attached to it. The red magnet helps you coordinate and mark "today's day". When you reach the end of a month or year, you can take the stickers off and you're left with only a coat to wear.

The result of the project is positive, and the overall creation of the coat and its promotion is shown in the photos. It was presented and modeled at the university's annual exhibition.
