Anomalous Visuals is a multi disciplinary practice that blurs the boundaries between photography, film, animation, graphics and installation. The brief was to create a logo which would become part of a series called ALT AV, an ongoing project which invites artists and designers to reinterpret the Anomalous Visuals identity.

Drawing on the meaning behind the word 'anomalous' (deviating from what is standard or normal) and inspired by the work of M.C. Escher as well as the visual intrigue of the impossible triangle, the characters 'A' and 'V' are represented in a kind of alternate visual reality.

The team at Anomalous Visuals were thrilled with solution, stating that the design is a "beautifully realised and clever concept." They used the logo on various promotional material as well as a film for the collaborative ALT AV project.
