Graham Hanson Design was contracted with bringing new life to an architectural masterpiece: the Seagram Building designed by Mies van der Rohe.
Approach
Inspired by the building’s past, present and future, GHD partnered with the artist Ruben Toledo to create a limited edition monograph illustrating the Seagram Building’s revitalization. GHD not only utilized Toledo's finished illustrations but many of his preliminary sketches and studies as well.
Results
The watercolors, sketches, and the design of the finished book are a collective tribute to the vitality of the Seagram Building and a gorgeous blend of art, architecture and design.
