New World Development, is a leading conglomerate based in Hong Kong focusing on property, infrastructure and services, department stores and hotels. NWD and INDICUBE collaborated to design and develop a website aimed to promote their latest major project. Taking inspiration from top tier super yacht designer, Philippe Briand, The Pavilia Bay is a nautical inspired sea residing luxury residential property based in the heart of an up and coming of Hong Kong.
To emulate the voyage of The Pavilia Bay, the website has been created on a serene blue canvas with abundant use of full width photos to capture the essence of a broadening horizon. Elements of the website load as one scrolls down paired with calming music in the background, gently evokes a sense of tranquility and continuous discovery. As the user advances through this mesmerising journey, information flows into place and spinning ship wheel buttons allow them to navigate within each section. Fascinating timelessness is conveyed through the scrollable panoramic photos depicting different times of the day. These interactive elements allow users to take control of their own journey, enhancing user experience.
Despite the soft sell approach taken by the Pavilia Bay website to promote the luxury residential property consisting of 983 units, since its launch in January 2017, 690 units had been sold within the first month. Sales were particularly strong in the third round of sales where buyers had swiftly purchased 100 out of 105 in the third round of sales by 4pm after they were made available at 9am in February. As a result, we successfully met the business objective of NWD by promoting The Pavilia Bay through an innovative and interactive concept, fully gauging the buyers’ attention while simultaneously delivering information clearly and directly.
