SCAD is a global university with locations in Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia; Hong Kong; and Lacoste, France. The university is keen to expose students to different cultural experiences unique to each location. At the Savannah and Atlanta campuses, non-U.S. students have many opportunities to experience American holidays.
The Halloween party brings an American experience to Hong Kong students. They enjoy music and food and enjoy a chance to meet new friends within the university. The costume contest is the perfect blend of cultural experience and creative expressiveness.
Halloween is supposed to be scary, so the designer used Ghost Reverie at the top of the poster and then made it appear as if it was splattered with blood to tie into the poster’s central image of the hockey mask, an homage to Jason, the killer in the "Friday the 13th" movie series.
