This assignment was to design a poster series for an event of my choosing. The only restrictions were that three posters must be typographic, one must be handmade, one must use photography, one must use illustration, and one must use a found object.

When designing this series, one of the most important aspects to me was making sure they all fit together as a series, despite having very different looks to each of them. I restricted myself to a base color palette that represented the natural palette of the park, to solve this problem. I utilized a variety of techniques to give each poster its own identity, including handmade collage, handmade illustration, references to traditional broadside posters, and expressive typography.

This series was featured in the 2021 SVA Spring Show. Professor and peers were impressed with the outcome.
