Design an engaging image to promote physical activity, health, and wellbeing. The event is a virtual run in February titled, For the Love of Movement. The virtual event is multi state and encourages participants to keep active and connected. Participants will be able to track their activities and share with the group.
The goal was to show movement in a static image that evokes feelings of physical activity and community. Pre-pandemic activities involved groups of people participating in exercises such as walking, biking, and running. One of the common pieces of equipment for these activities is active footwear. The tread of an athletic shoe was chosen to convey the idea of movement and remind viewers group activities. The typography is set to be more rounded as is the sole of the shoe were being pressed to demonstrate running or walking, sole in use. The type was arranged and color applied so the type could be read in different forms.
The client was excited about the imagery and helped to provide a successful event. Participant engagement was greater than expected and will be running the event in coming months.
