'Shelf. Life.' is my poster response to Posterheroes 4th edition theme: Systemic Food
We live in an age where convenience is embedded into every function of our daily lives, including how we eat. This convenience led to the current supermarket complex system where food is ‘readily available’ for the consumer. The consequence is that added preservatives and other chemicals are now added to almost every food product we buy; much without our consent and unknowing of how these poisons affect our health. This poster illustrates that by our consumer choices, the more we choose to consume the longer shelved food products the quicker a shadowy coffin waits to consume us.
