We were tasked with creating an ad for our client Ark Naturals that would run in trade publication called Pet Age. They wanted us to talk about one of their most popular and important products for pets. That is their brushless dental chews with a unique toothpaste center and tasty natural ingredients. Since Ark had a limited amount of print ads running during the year, they encouraged us to come up with something really different that would stand out in this publication and make a strong impression on retailers and key decisionmakers.
In order to get people’s attention, we came up with an eye-opening image of a dog with its head in a trash can doing what dogs do naturally. In the process, we wanted to show people just how important Ark Naturals dental chews were to promoting clean teeth and fresh breath. Especially considering that pet might soon be showering kisses on them.
The Ark Naturals marketing team thought the image really showcased a great reason for their product in a fun and attention-getting way. This clean, concise visually-driven ad really stood out in a trade publication full of cluttered ads with everything but the kitchen sink in them.
