The challenge was to create beer packaging that showcases foraged ingredients and sustainable living.
My solution was to pair foraging with fables, tails with a tale, telling a story on the bottle. Like Aesop’s Fables, they have an additional purpose with lessons/morals, and in this case, inspired by the wild and good gathering. The edge of the label is also used as part of the storytelling, creating tension and drama.
The packaging appeals to locavores who want to experience locally sourced cuisine, to gather and share feasts with friends. The bottles share that message of gathering together and gathering ingredients.
