The assignment was to choose an existing product or brand and give them a complete rebrand.
Tokyo Bay is a watch company based in San Fransisco. One founder is from Japan while the other from the bay area. Their origins was the springboard of my redesign. For the rebrand, I aimed at bringing in more Japanese influence while keeping it modern American. The rebrand displays a clean, bold, simple system with vibrant monochrome packaging. The logo is subtly distilled to show the reflecting motifs of the hands on a watch. The magazine ads find the balance between the clean, white monotone balanced with a colorful monochrome model to draw in attention and show brand versatility.
This rebrand solution reflects the goals of Tokyo Bay while maintaining a beautiful visual style that both sets them apart from their competitors and is recognizable by their consumer base.
