Brand a startup company with an identity that conveyed a warm and unique experience with a sense of permanence. Fork & Ale is a premium quality gastropub offering only critically-acclaimed food, beer and wine in a casual, comfortable setting. The assignment was for their logo, palette, typography and brand standards to reflect all of that.
In presenting identity treatment strategies, VFC always presents three concepts and collaborates with the client on which approach best represents the brand, communicates to the targets and resonates in the market. The design direction selected in a literal combination of a fork and a beer goblet creating an original glyph that is at once recognizable and distinct. We recommended friendly supporting type and a warm palette that effectively communicates the establishment’s personality.
The adoption of the Fork & Ale identity and detailed brand standards that have informed the restaurant’s personality in everything from custom signage to decor as well as setting a professional and competitive standard in all marketing and collateral. It’s safe to say that Fork & Ale’s logo buttoned up the brand and prepared the restaurant for success.
