Our assignment was to create a poster that conveyed the serious subject matter of the show, while giving the audience something new and different, and highlighting the show's host and reporter, Mariana Van Zeller.

For this season, we chose to have Mariana Van Zeller be the entire background. Her haunting gaze follows you no matter where you move, almost like the Mona Lisa. The tagline of the season "The Black Market is Closer Than You Think" is both a statement and a warning. And wherever there's a black market, Mariana Van Zeller isn't far behind.

The result is a gripping and haunting poster. You almost want to look away - Mariana Van Zeller's penetrating eye contact is intense, almost confrontational. It's as if she's sizing you, the viewer, up. Daring you to see what's just beyond the comfort of your sofa. Our client was thrilled - and it made for one heck of a print campaign.
