Assignment
Our key art goal was to present a very familiar tale in an unfamiliar way - fitting for this unconventional, adult-oriented interpretation of Dickens’s story. Scrooge is younger, more defiant towards personal change and more wounded by his past.
Approach
We depicted Guy Pearce confident, arrogant, and unaware. Artist Eric Gomez created a period-appropriate gritty woodcut illustration. Ghosts loom and tree branches are hands menacing him. We shot reference of the actor specifically for this piece.
Results
This illustrated piece contrasted yet complimented the rest of our photographic campaign for outdoor, digital and print tactics.
