The challenge was to show how, as a global design and architecture firm with 48 locations and more than 6,000 professionals focused on strategic research and design shaping the future of cities, we helped our clients navigate challenges on 10,000 projects in 2,500 cities over the past year.
Gensler’s annual report provides an overview of the firm’s year, noting our global network of diverse talent, our innovative research program, our design culture, and the impact we’ve made in our local communities in addressing pressing challenges facing urban communities, from homelessness and affordable housing to the preservation of the environment. The report is distributed to all Gensler staff to celebrate the firm’s annual achievements in building communities.
The message investigates how Gensler is organized into a single cohesive community across the globe, working with shared values and purpose to promote the greatest positive impact for our clients. The visual presentation reflects the firm’s One Community approach, highlighting how our global reach and diversity bring Gensler’s unique strengths to the marketplace to drive transformation.
This year’s annual report highlights four key areas that reflect who we are as a firm, highlighting our role as an industry leader in diversity, our investments in platforms that drive innovation, our focus on community impact, and our unique design culture. Taken together, these stories encapsulate the firm’s One Community approach.
The second half of the book highlights Gensler’s breadth of projects across 11 regions on six continents with photography that showcases our portfolio and capabilities towards innovative and influential design, illustrating our global reach and local impact.
Gensler’s 2018 Annual Report is used as an internal tool to celebrate the firm’s achievements among staff and clients and to recruit and onboard new employees. Printed in Canada, the total run was 7,500 copies. The Annual Report is also available online. The publication was promoted via Gensler’s website and via internal employee events.
