Book cover design for a bestselling author entering into a new genre.

Must retain appeal to the author’s large fan-base, while creating something new and original in the sci-fi space. Needed to be striking and colorful with the potential of a series being built around the cover design.

The suspended figure serves to represent the main character at an integral part of the story where she becomes one with the alien substance, floating among the stars. There is a strong sense of a captured moment paired with the bold title type, and the monochromatic color scheme gives potential for a series rollout in different colors.
