The goal of this project was to design a product with three applications, research the point of sale, brand the product, and apply that brand to the packaging to create a design that stands out on the shelf.
When doing my research on alcoholic beverages, I found many things that were preventing these products from standing out on the shelf. The colors used, the ingredients used, and the overall identity all blended with the other products. These findings are what I based my concept around, trying to create a unique and interesting product.
Krysp Spirits are distilled from three different types of apples grown on the Krysp Orchard + Distillery. As most spirits are distilled from grains and starches like potatoes or rye, Krysp taps into a unique market that is relatively unknown. The bright colors, clean type, and overall modern design communicates the new age of distilleries, proudly making the statement that Krysp is not your typical one-hundred-year-old distillery, but something new and exciting.
